Standard Where It Counts
The LV7 is built to live in. Every 2027 LV7 comes with standard 12V air conditioning, a full-length roof rack, a composting toilet, rear Sumo Springs, and a complete set of insulated covers. The systems that make extended living comfortable are part of the build, not extras to chase down.
Standard on Every LV7
12V Air Conditioning, Built In
Every LV7 includes a center-mounted, high-efficiency 12V air conditioner with remote and Bluetooth control, installed as part of the build. No shore power or generator required. It runs off the same lithium system that powers the rest of the van, and it’s built to take the edge off the heat and keep you and your pets comfortable when the van warms up.
The LV7 also keeps both roof vent fans alongside the A/C. When it cools off outside, open up and let the fans push the hot air out, and save your battery for when you really need the A/C.
The LV7 ships with 600Ah (7.2kWh) of lithium capacity. A/C runtime depends on heat, humidity, sun, and how much you drive, so if you plan to lean on it overnight or spend long stretches off-grid in the heat, the Power Boost and Off-Grid battery upgrades take you to 900Ah or 1200Ah. Tell us how you travel and we’ll tell you straight which one you actually need.

A Full-Length Roof Rack, Standard
A roof rack is one of the things travelers ask us for most. For 2027, every LV7 ships with a full-length, black powder-coated aluminum roof rack as standard, with the solar panels mounted to it. One clean, integrated platform across the top of your van that keeps the roof sealed tight and gives you a solid base for an awning or a ladder.
Easier Solar Upgrades
With the panels mounted to the rack instead of the roof, replacing or upgrading your solar down the road is a much simpler job.
Awning and Ladder Ready
The rack fits most awnings on the market, and our optional side ladder attaches directly to it for easy roof access.
Fewer Holes, Cleaner Build
One integrated rack means fewer penetrations in the roof, which means fewer points to seal and fewer places for leaks to start over the life of your van. Installed as part of the build and finished to match.
Composting Toilet, Standard
Every 2027 LV7 includes a hideaway Trelino composting toilet. No black tank, no chemicals, no dump station hunt. It tucks away when you don’t need it and is ready when you do. Insulated Covers, Included

A note on insurance and titling: When you go to insure your van, your chassis may show as a 2026 RAM ProMaster until your DM Vans title conversion is complete. That’s normal. We build our 2027 Backcountry in 2026 on the 2026 RAM ProMaster (currently the only ProMaster RAM produces); it’s standard Class B upfitter practice. Your van is sold and titled as a 2027 DM Vans Class B Recreational Vehicle, and RAM warranty coverage begins on your date of sale.
Specifications based on the 2026 RAM ProMaster cargo van platform and current DM Vans build standard. Both chassis features and DM Vans build content may be updated during the model year as RAM releases chassis changes or as we refine our build. Final specifications are confirmed at time of deposit.
